Mayor Walters called the Special Workshop Meeting of the Tawas City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Tawas City Hall.

Council Members Present:      Sandra Brugger, Dave Dickman, Kane Kelly, Dave Schantz, Carl Steinhurst, Duane Walters, Danna White.

Council Members Absent:      None

Others Present:                        City Manager Mark Moers, City Clerk Michelle Westcott, and City Treasurer Annette Corey

City Manager Moers presented the July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011 preliminary budget information to the Council.  City Manager Moers went over the preliminary budget line-by-line item starting with the General Fund.  Discussion took place with regards to current and future projects including Whittemore Street waterline replacement reconstruction, and Margo Street repairs.  It was the consensus of the board to review the proposed budget in greater detail and submit questions or recommendations to City Manager Moers for distribution back to the Council.  Another budget workshop may be needed before a final draft is approved

Steinhurst moved, Dickman seconded, CARRIED, to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 p.m.  ROLL CALL VOTE:  Yes - Dickman, Kelly, Schantz, Steinhurst, Walters, White, Brugger.  No - None.
